Data Scientist | Engineer | Photographer | Alpinist
Data Scientist with over 3 years of experience designing, developing, and deploying enterprise level optimizations and machine learning models. Proficient in multiple programming languages, statistical analysis, and MLOps.
Nuclear Engineer with a focus in material science, stochastic optimization, and code development. Experience working in the United States, India, France, and Sweden. Strong interest in Generation IV reactor technology and its role in the future energy landscape.
Enjoy traveling and being outdoors, whether hiking, skiing, or climbing, and taking some photos along the way.
Currently working as a Data Scientist at Lokad, a software company, based in Paris, France for 3 years. I work directly with company executives and planning teams in the MRO Aeronautics, eCommerce, and retail sectors to optimize their supply chain and purchasing practices. This involves financial modeling, demand forecasting, and stochastic simulations. I utilize a diverse set of tools and languages in my job including Python, C#, and SQL. My position is unique in that I am in direct contact with the stakeholders, and am providing support at each level of a project from data ETL, model engineering and deployment, and data reporting and visualization. This allows me to act as both a data scientist and consultant, working together to find the optimal solution to their problem. You can find a copy of my CV here.
Before working as a Data Scientist, I studied Nuclear Engineering and Material Science, obtaining a Double Master's degree through the EIT InnoEnergy program, at KTH Royal Insitute of Technology and Grenoble INP Phelma. As a nuclear engineer I helped in R&D projects concering thermal hydraulic code development, probabilistic risk assessment, radiation safety, and neutronics modeling, with tools like MCNP6, MAAP, SERPENT, and COMSOL. During my studies I specialized in material science applications for Generation III and IV+ reactors, while also taking supplemental courses in nuclear fusion physics and renewable energy systems.
Outside of work, I enjoy getting outside and into the mountains as much as possible, whether hiking, climbing, or skiing, typically in the French Alps. I do my best to keep up with the newest technology and trends in the worlds of data science and green (yes that includes Nuclear) energy, and testing things out in personal projects. My newest hobby has been film photography, exploring my home of Paris and other cities with my trusty Minolta rangefinder.
Below is some more information regarding my education, hobbies, and professional experiences.
Currently based in Paris, France. I have experience studying and working in the US, China, India, Sweden, and France, and work well in international and diverse environments.
Have experience working and conducting research in radiation protection, thermal-hydraulics, and nuclear security. Some of topics I have worked on include using MCNP for radiation shielding design of PuBe neutron source,
Full-Stack data scientist, handling data pipeline construction and ETL, model development, and MLOps lifecycle. Currently working in demand forecast modeling and stochastic optimizations for Aeronautics and e-Commerce businesses.
Enjoy experimenting and building projects in different programming languages including: Python, R, Julia, C#, and JavaScript. Projects range from web development to machine learning to data visualization.
Hold a double Masters degree in Nuclear Engineering and Material Science from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and l'École Nationale Supérieure de Physique, Électronique et Matériaux. My master's thesis was on the numerical stability of thermal-hydraulic modeling in the MAAP nuclear accident code.
Graduated in 2017 with a BSc. in Nuclear Engineering with a minor in mathematics from Texas A&M Univeristy. Was a member of the American Nuclear Society, Health Physics Society, and Phi Eta Sigma national honor society. Also obtained my Process Safety Engineering Certificate from the Mary Kay O'Connor Safety Center.
English is my native language, I can speak, read, and write at a business professional level in French. I have recently started studying Arabic.
Completed the southern section of the Te Araroa, a ~1400km thru-hiking trail in New Zealand that traverses the entire southern island.
Enjoy spending my time in the mountains, whether hiking, climbing, or skiing. Have been fortunate to venture in the Rockies, the French, Swiss, and New Zealand Alps, and the Himalayas.
